I walked the Camino this time last year and flew into Madrid and took the train to Pamplona. It took me 30 days to walk to Santiago with one rest day. I had planned more rest days but found once I had met so many nice people and formed a camino 'family' I didn't want to lose touch with them so...
It's great to read all these comments. I am starting in Pamplona on 29 April. Both excited and slightly nervous as it's my first camino. Allowing about 35 days to get to Santiago.

I am currently sitting on my couch after walking 28 km today as part of my training for the Camino in 2 weeks time. It was a good outing and psychologically good for me as I now know I can do the distance. However, I realise that doing it once is not the same as doing it day after day...
