Hi everyone
Not sure if I am repeating myself as I gave this url in another area, but I have started blogging about my Camino that I finished in October. It can be read by clicking here :

The nicest albergue I stayed in was in Arzua - Albergue Via Lactea. It's a private one run by the most amazing folks. They even put roses in the dorms and the loo's and had bowls of sweeties for pilgrims!! Very clean and modern.
The absolute worst one was Albergue Bono (Municipal) in Sarria...
Hello there
I see Falcon mentioned gnats in a recent reply to a new walker. Quick question - are there gnats and flies along the way in late September through October? If so, are they annoying enough to warrant a head net?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Jane
Thanks for all your responses - it's great to hear from you all.
@ Karen - I know the feeling - I had more than eight months to wait when I decided to do the camino. I hope to blog along the way.
@ Tyrrek - it would be great to meet up. Who knows! Buen camino to you!

Hi there
As I count down the days to the start of my camino, my mind has gone into overdrive and some rather curious questions have been raising their heads.
I've jotted my thoughts down in a blog - if you're interested in reading it click on this link :

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. I guess it all boils down to the fact that you are doing the Camino for yourself alone - not for your friends or family. And yes, I guess it is odd walking so far when you're supposed to be on holiday.
It's just so nice to plug into this Forum and chat...
Hello everyone
I will start walking the Camino with my son on the 21st September (yippee!!) I’ve been training all year, on beautiful quiet country roads and going camping to remote places so that I can walk quiet paths in safety. Along the way I’ve meditated and encountered the most amazing...
Hello there
I have booked a flight out of Santiago on Ryan Air, but I will need to print my own boarding pass. Is there somewhere convenient in Santiago where this can be done? If they print for me at the airport it will cost me another E40.00 (practically more than my flight cost!) :(...
I love this topic as I am mad about mantras - I use them every day.
I will be walking in September and I have bought myself the Brierley guidebook, which I see has a section for reflections every day. I have written down a small mantra and a prayer for each day in this section, which I will...
Hi Petro
From a fellow South African who is doing the Camino in September/October, I wish you a wonderful blessed walk. Don't panic - just relax and enjoy it.
Via con dios!
Jane
Thank you so much for your replies, J & W. I always love the positive and reassuring replies that are given to people to encourage them on this forum. You two are no exception. Thank you - and I will let you know how the Camino goes for me in due course.
Best regards
Jane
