    Trecile...yep...positive. Used it on the Augusta and VdlP. Was definitely my 'go to' for GPS. I can't imagine why anyone would develop a GPS 'map app' that relied on an internet connection.

    Thanks for that. Interesting - as I used the Gronze Map App offline for GPS on the iPhone and it worked really well. I tend to also have the other apps you mention...so generally well covered.

    Holy Week Experience

    If you have the opportunity to visit Spain during Semana Santa...take it! My wife and I were in Cadiz for Holy Thursday, and Jerez de la Frontera for Easter Sunday last year. If we can...a repeat visit during Holy Week...would be our goal. Buen Camino.

    Will be walking the CP in Aug/Sep with planning clearly focused to staying (for the most part) on the Litoral. However, (using Brierley's Guide) the stage from A Ramallosa to Vigo sets up quite a few walking options - the 'da Costa', in particular, has a marked detour to Freixo. For those CP...

    The closure of Bar Via de la Plata will be a loss to that little community. Had lunch there...and thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambience. Also, can only mirror your assessment of the Posada. An truly excellent spot to overnight, and a wonderful hostess!!
