The Cafe Bar Via de la Plata is permanently closed.
I stayed at Posada Real del Buen Camino. Other pilgrims arriving at Posada Real reported that the private Albergue Via de la Plata was not open this day.
Posada Real is pricey for most pilgrims. Having said that it is a wonderful property and Maria is a wonderful hostess. She now offers an evening meal since the bar closed.

Can you buy a coffee and snack if passing through there ?

The closure of Bar Via de la Plata will be a loss to that little community. Had lunch there...and thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambience. Also, can only mirror your assessment of the Posada. An truly excellent spot to overnight, and a wonderful hostess!!
