    Without having read the articles... I think it is easy for them to blend in (if they are not walking with their crowns, suits and gala dresses. High heels down to Zubiri is not advisable).     Fantastic. I am looking forward to your posts. I was going to start from Arles in mid-June, but right now an uncertain holiday planning points me to Barcelona and the Camino Catalán. Where do you pick up a Credential in Arles? Will you walk to Somport, Puente la Reina or some other place?

    Closed/closing early on Sundays? I stayed there several times and on Sundays there were instructions to follow; we will close, you have to enter through this door and so on... So it could seem deserted if arriving on a Sunday?

    Based on the description of the devilish dog I would say it is before the calzada romana veers down towards Belesar. But given that Simperegrina mentions stepping stones (?) I could be mistaken.

    I always booked one day ahead (even if I didn't need to). I don't think I ever needed to book 2 days ahead. Just wanted to be sure to have a place to sleep the following day, and I never had a problem.

    YES. I have met him twice at the same place. He is really annoying. Most dogs stay a few feet away, only showing off and looking like they will attack. While he gets near your legs to snap at them and really agressive. Do not like.

    Note to non-Spanish speakers: the letter X is called/pronounced Equis in Spanish so the Hostal actually has the same name as the Restaurant.
