Yesterday morning, a lovely circle walk around Deas Island. Looking for the Wilson's Warbler I was hearing, my binoculars landed on the direct gaze of a Great Horned owlet. I was startled and thrilled!! Two sibblings and the parents nearby.

A 10 km walk at Deer Lake with wonderful companions - my brother and step-mom. Gorgeous day. I was surprised to see 2 Cedar Waxwings - unusual birds here at this time of year.

Well of course all opinions are subjective. A question is asked and an answer is given based on a personal experience. I don't see any reason to doubt or identify the answer as "a bit exaggerated." I made my decision to take those paths after reading several different accounts of this route...
