If you have booked accommodation ahead i would try and time your arrival such that you can get into it quickly and get changed if wet. There is nothing worse than hanging around waiting for somewhere to open if soaked through

I have read both the Ramis and Brierley books but am going with the Rothers guide. its smaller, has good maps and descriptions but perhaps less of the history and musings, certainly of the Brierley guide

To be frank whether or not I get the credential at Santiago is secondary. If you have done it you don't need a piece of paper to say you have.

Can anyone advise how many times you need to have your Credential stamped.
Is it OK to have it stamped at your accommodation when you arrive or leave.
I thought I had read that you had to have it stamped twice a day but probably mistaken as that seems like overkill to me
