Try the SNCF Connect app to find a train and purchase a ticket ... OR Rail Europe. You will first need to travel frim Barcelona to Lyon. Not all trains arrive «so late ...» it depends on which trains you book! but nevertheless at least one night in Le Puy is recommended ... lots to see there.

G’Day Woody, I guess that you already know : there are direct TGV trains from Paris CDG airport [known as CDG2 Roissy] to Bayonne via Bordeaux Saint Jean ... try Rome2Rio app and / OR SNCF Connect app for the relevsnt schedules ... as you arrive so early in the morning I would be very surprised...

I meant to post yesterday but I twas busy ... most of the fast TGV trains to Bayonne require a brief change at Bordeaux ... if you put Bordeaux as your destination you should find more options other than the 08h10 ... how are you getting on with the SNCF connect website??
