Forgot to say, not walking! Plane, train or automobile! All good. On train for Barcelona.
Have had to abandon camino plans, but will be back one day.
Thanks for all help. And buen camino!
Have come down with a bad flu and have to cancel camino plans. Booked into hotel in logrono trying to recover. 5 days now and getting worse. What does a non-spanish speaking pilgrim do in this situation please? English speaking doctor? Hospital?
Not sure if correct category for this but here goes......
Hello fellow pilgrims.
I have a request please for someone in santiago de compostela.
I have a parcel at the post office (correos) in sdc that needs to be collected and delivered to the Loop Inn hotel in sdc, where we have 2 suitcases...
Just came down that descent yesterday. Track was dry but could be nasty in the wet. Sounds like you would be fine, poles are great, especially for 'dicky' knees. Just take it easy and enjoy the journey!
We are there already with nothing booked either. A camino friend said today he just went to an alberque, not sure which one, before pamplona and there were 8 empty beds. People book but not pay, then don't turn up. The albergues lose and so do the pilgrims wanting to just 'wing it'.
Yes. Agree. In pamplona right now having come much further than we wished. By taxi so will bus back to todays finish spot and walk from there. Hoping to time our stages our of the main flow for better conditions after pamplona.
i saw this on the first page. 920kms the French way. maybe its a typo?

There seems to be quite a variation in the total distaance of CF - SJPDP to Santiago. From 790kms to 900kms! Why is this?
Also, regarding the scallop shell to carry - can you bring your own or do you get given one? has significance for me so would like to bring my own.
