Sorry If this question has been answered. I can't seem to find info on where to get bus info from Muxía to Santiago.
Is there a website for schedules etc?
Thanks!
I think it is important to point out that certain levels of cleanliness and facilities should be expected if you are paying for the said roof and bed. Having stayed in multiple alberges all the way from SJPDP to Santiago , you understand what cheap accommodation is. That said there Is literally...
This is by far the worst alburge I have ever seen. I have walked from sjpdp to Santiago and have never seen anything this bad.
First of all, they stand on the street and tell all pilgrims passing by that all the other alburges are full. They look shady for a reason - DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.
LUA...
Thanks everyone for your feedback! I have decided I will pick up the camino where I left off (in Leon), take a bus to Virgen del Camino and begin my walk from there! When I get to Ponferrada I will switch to the Invierno route - unless I am happy to stay on the frances. Will see how I go...
Thanks! I am still driving myself (and others) crazy with indecisions. I feel "pressure" (from no one but my own mind) to "have to" finish the Frances BUT my experiences were frustration with the crowds. Now i dont know what to do. Looked at Invierno from suggestions above and it looks...
I can relate. Last year I walked from SJPP to leon (I had to stop there because of my schedule but I would have liked to have kept going).
That being said - I was VERY annoyed when i got to Burgos. I hated that place. I was so sick of worrying about a place to stay and the groups of people...
Thanks!
So am still in the land of indecision as to wether I should do the camino portugues (from porto) this Late June OR finish the frances (If I do though, id start in Astorga and then switch to the invierno). I made it to Leon last year from SJPP. From everything i've read the walk from...
Thanks!
Of all the options you mentioned - which is the most scenic? I also LOVE small little towns versus cities and preferred staying in the small towns versus large end cities of the brieley plan. I do like to meet other travelers but not mobs. (no offence Italians, but yes, i'm referring...
Thanks for the reply! My favorite part of the Camino Frances was the first day over the pyranes and then the first section of the Maseta (near san bol) and the part to Ages was cool as well. Not sure how the other country sides compare? Would love to stay in character bnbs or something not...
Hi guys and girls.
Last summer I walked the Camino Frances from Saint Jean to Leon. I had to stop as it was the only allotted time I had. This june/july I have 3 weeks in Europe and I have been thinking about finishing the Camino Frances or Alternatively doing the Camino Portuguese. Am...
I got killed by Bed Bugs in Los Arcos and then again near Leon. Absolutely horrible. I spoke to many pilgrims who also got bitten badly. I also had pre-treated all my stuff with Pemetherin (or how ever u spell it).
I do want to finish the Camino (leon to Finistere) within the next year...
...with an Italian traveling "solo" and he also felt the same way.
3. Bed race.
I was worried about places to stay but in the end I just said "**** it." I don't understand getting up at 4am and then walking until 10am just to sit around all day waiting for the next day. I loved walking...
Thanks Everyone.
SO. I feel like a failure here - I was able to find 4 shoes that were great but can't decide and will probe take them all (which is BAD!). That being said, my pack with 1 liter of water and all shoes weighs 20Pounds. I am 220 pounds - doesn't mean it is ok thought as i think...
