Reviews of albergues are just peoples opinions, we must remember the majority of the people who give these bad reviews are holiday makers not pilgrims, unfortunately they don't know the difference between the two.
For me, I love staying in the local albergues, it's all part of the experience...
I have to say it was the film that inspired me to do my first camino. I do take the point about Martin Sheen not making the effort not to learn Spanish. When I arrive I Spain I couldn't speak a word of Spanish, but by the end of my camino I could get by comfortably, so no excuse.
I don't normally respond to polls but here goes, I put down Physical Injury, it wasn't life threatening..
I did the CF in 2015 on my own and had a magical experience, my wife joined me in Sarrtia and we did that last week together. The journey understand how lucky I've been in life and made me...
I came across a situation where a tour guide placed a backpack in the queue and when the Albergue opened around the corner came his Client’s expecting to jump the queue to where the backpack was. He didn’t get away with that.

Before I start I will apologise to out friends from Southern Ireland.
When we joined the EU there was talk about SI changing the the side of the road they drove on to fit in with the rest of the EU. It was announced that on the week of the change cars wold change sides on the Friday with...
Us Britishers are right it's the rest of the world that's wrong. :p We're so clever we use both the metric and the imperial system and conversions are worked out in the head.o_O
Also it would be very difficult to drive on the right hand side of the road because that's the side of the steering...
It is my understanding (correct me if i'm wrong) but the Wise Pilgrim app will be ready soon, I have to old one on my phone as I have the others too, with the CF it automatically updated to the new one last week.
You can't get better than the WP apps IMHO.
