From my first day on my camino I used the 3 tap method. As soon as I got up and started walking, whether from a Bar, Albergue or just resting somewhere I would tap my wallet, passport and phone to make sure I had them on me. After a bit it just came automatically to me. Tap, tap tap.
Off topic just a bit, just mentioning because I like the cafe con leche as well as chocolate . In the Madrid airport they have cafe con leche chocolates. I bought 2 tins last June for gifts but I never got to taste one. This June I will make sure to buy some for myself as i'am curious to what...
No, i'am walking from Pamplona to Santiago first than taking a bus to Valcena and walking back to Santiago. Not starting from Pamplona till May 12 but have already purchased my bus ticket to Valcena.
I'am also arriving by bus to Valcena but staying in Tui. Nice to read this thread because I did not know about the fort, seems like something I would like to see. Also I would like to walk across the bridge from Portugal to Spain as I had walked from France into Spain.
If I lived in Spain and was buying train tickets all the time I would probably book through Renfe but for one or two tickets a year I don't mind paying a little bit more if its easier for me.
I see airalo has individual countries are for regions like Europe or Asia. The regional are more expensive. i'am only going to be in Portugal for a couple days the rest in Spain. I'am going to Spain than Portugal than Spain again.
I was just on Trainline today looking for a ticket in June from Santiago to Madrid and it showed no availability. Thanks for the post. I already have some bus and train ticket booked on Trainline of May just need that last Train ticket in June. I don't mind paying a little extra as I don't have...
I usually wore my fleece pullover under rain jacket if i'am cold in the morning when walking but yes it is nice and cozy if your cold when trying to sleep.
Although I usually drink beer during the day I do like a glass of wine at night. I usually just got a glass of wine but never thought of them being different sizes because they all seemed the same. So the question is, does wine by the glass come in different sizes.
I walked May 18 - June 28. Carried a 500ml bottle water each day. I'am still here, didn't die of thirst. Of course I stopped at a few bars each day for hydration.
I just took a fleece pullover and with my rain jacket I was warm enough. I bought a light weight puffer jacket but decided to leave it at home. Was contemplating taking it this year because i'am leaving a week earlier on May 12 but probably won't. Even then I only used my fleece a couple times...
I took two pairs light weight icebreaker and two pairs medium weight icebreaker and wore the medium over the light. Was very comfortable on my feet. Also had one pair of icebreaker ankle socks that I wore when finished my hike for the day. Didn't have to wash the ankle socks much because I...
