I am moved by your thoughts and carefully chosen words to express what is in your heart. We often hear « angels live among us » and right now you are an angel caring for your much loved wife. I sense that whatever you undertake, it has purpose for you. Purpose is what keeps us young at heart and...
My power bank was used everyday to charge my phone in my bunk area, as often the outlets were already taken (I’m not the fastest pilgrim, so usually one of the last to arrive at the albergue) or I did not want to leave my phone unattended. The reading, pictures and videos used up my battery...
Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience and sharing with us. Really enjoyed reading it. Looking forward to part II.
Being older does not always guarantee wisdom. Life’s experiences nurtures that, along with self awareness. You just showed us both, and that makes you wiser...
Soooooo!! Where are we up to now with the pilgrim guide to etiquette 🤪 did we come to a consensus.
I agree wholeheartedly with @DeansFamily. There needs only one thing to be consistently kind and thoughtful. That first grade teacher sounds like one of the greats.
I checked out the site. Very informative and easy to use. Gives a bird’s eye view by region also. Thank you 😊 I’ll be using this to get a feel for trends when I walk again.
Great strategy which will also work for me on days where I just want to take more time to enjoy nature and villages with no rushing in the mornings. That’s my plan for 2026. Would enjoy your posts to Finistere 😊
Greatly appreciate the update and sharing your thoughts and feelings. Oftentimes I wonder how the pilgrim fared in the end when posts are about illness, injury or challenges faced along the way. Thank you. 😊
I walked it April 24th 2023 and stayed at Albergue Suseia. 8 people that day were taken to hospital due to injuries. Lots of mud. I had a slip and fall but fortunate not to incur an injury.
You are a very kind to give us this detailed 😉☺️ update. Like you, I often wonder how those who post injury or illness fare. Appreciate your post and your humour despite this serious setback. Big 👍to you fellow pilgrim.
Your posts also tell a story of a loving father being supportive and empathetic to his daughter’s current needs. Hope she feels better soon. Wishing you and your daughter sunny days for the rest of your time in Spain.
We share a love of music from our more youthful days. Great job and thank you for sharing your journey with us here. Grateful and thankful 🙏❤️ safe journey home.
Wow. How kind and lovely of you to share your joy with us. You are one lucky grandfather as I am sure your granddaughter is in sharing this memorable experience with you. Thank you so much 😊💕 PS the pictures say it all 🙏
