While on a holiday to the Northern Territory in Australia I noticed a sign at the entrance to a National Park. " Do your dog a favour this holiday, leave it at home" This is such a good idea, for the dog and for the other people on holidays. Not everybody loves your dog as much as you do.
Saint Jean is a tourist town but really, it is a special place. It is worth two night if you have the time. The three times we have been there has always been exciting. Looking around town, talking to other pilgrims, eating the great food and just contemplation the walk ahead is what a...
If a church was open we went in, it's part of the Camino. If it wasn't open we walked around it to appreciate it. Remember, if it wasn't for the churches, the Camino would not exist.

Most times it does Tim, the other times you have to work it out yourself. Enjoy your Camino, it is the start of a whole new life for you. Not a day goes by that I don't think of the Camino.
It will rain, it may snow at O'Cerebero, (it did in May 2014) it will be hot on the Meseta and it could be cold at any time. So come prepared for the four seasons.
I was attacked by a dog on the Le Puy route, I still have the ripped waterproof trousers, if it was not for my wife striking the dog with her walking pole I fear I would have been seriously injured. Not all dogs are nice so beware.
