Lovely to see it in the sunshine. I walked early November 2023 in very bad weather (rain ,wind, storms). The boat trip was cancelled so walked from Vilanova de Arousa to Padron.
I walked in 2019 and can`t remember any problems walking on the riverbeds. I thought it was a comfortable walk not having to look out for cars ,bicycles etc and it was well signed. It rained the night we stayed in Alboloduy so there there was water in the river bed. We only had a short walk on...

I would suggest walking the Camino Verde from Lugo to Sobrado (on the Norte).Then alternate route from Boimorto to St Irene or to Pedrouza. If you take the Verde don`t miss the ruins of Santa Eulalia de Boveda. Information and links in the Camino Primitivo section

I stayed in the albuergue in Benduenos in my opinion is one of the best in Spain.Yes it is deep in the country but the welcome ,the scenery is well worth the detour.Everything a pilgrim needs is supplied food,drinks alcohol and non-alcohol,fruit etc and toiletries.Sandra will also cook dinner...
I totally agree with Laurie it is majestic. I walked it last month(15th to 19th).I had perfect weather and met 3 other pilgrims.I did find the descent from Canto la Tusa to Herias challenging( I was glad I had poles) but then I stayed in the best albuergue ever in Benduenos .What a wonderful...
