LIVE from the Camino The Nomad Pack - On the move!

Hi NP, i hope you and pack are well and healthy. I’ve been off the air a bit, recovering from shingles this past few months and feeling a bit miserable. I have a lot of catching up to do on you and the fam. I too spent a few months in a wheelchair after a motorbike accident, I came off the...

LIVE from the Camino The Nomad Pack - On the move!

That would have been a worrying experience but it’s nice to know you have caring neighbors and you and the pack will likely become part of the community in no time. My daughter has Asperger and suffers other health problems since she was a baby, even with lots of people around she still lives a...

Haha, they did NG. So glad you didn’t lose your great sense of humour in that mad weather you and pack had to endure. I’m a mad wuss...it’s air con and heating for me, I grew up with no electricity or running water and I remember loving the funny ice patterns on the inside of our bedroom...

I purchased a Katadyn water bottle here in Australia, $67 with free postage and discovered it was only 600mls. I returned it as it felt really flimsy. I like a filter and was thinking of getting Brita bottles. I generally drink a lot of water anyway and my sons are saying the bladder thingy is...

I have been wondering the same thing Susan, thanks for asking the question. My sons who use them insist I get one. I like bottles as I can put them through the dishwasher for a good clean. Thanks for the video davebugg, I like the filter thingy and refilling looks easy enough for a novice.

    Live from St Patrick's Way

Good on you for taking this on in January, I enjoyed your post. It’s a fairly bleak time of the year to be walking in Ireland when most of the folk are in hibernation. Best they keep the walk away from roads as everyone would want to give you a lift/ride and take you home for tea and a good feed.

We are a nosy bunch indeed, I’m sure it’s because we are tribal and have to slot you in and see where you fit, we always know someone you know and if not in the first 10 minutes then we’ll keep going until we do.....we sort of interrogate rather than ask subtle questions. As a mad animal lover...

Help!? Just broken my ankle- no camino this May for me :(

I’m so sorry and wish you a speedy recovery. I suffered a severe leg break some years ago and was non weight bearing for 4 mths. My best advice for what’s its worth is do not hop on the good leg, take painkillers for the pain and not so you can keep doing what you want, follow all advice and...

    Shoulder Strap Irritation

That’s a brilliant idea thank you, I actually purchased two sheepskin thingys on Friday, the lady there says it’s a common problem and she sells them all the time for backpacks...so we aren’t the only ones suffering cherrys! My irrigation occurs near the armpit area so hopefully this works, they...
