Please bear with these VOLUNTEERS if they are not fluent in your language. They come at their own expense to help pilgrims starting out on the Way.

Le Chemin de poste the destination is Bayonne
From Bayonne to SJPDP it is only the Chemin de Poste

When you're at SJPDP, drop by the pilgrims' office, where the volunteers will be able to answer all your questions. What's more, you're in luck as one of the volunteers is Swedish and will be able to help you in your own language.
The refuge Saint Jacques 7 rue Gosse in Bayonne will open its doors to pilgrims for the new season from March 25 to April 1, 2024. Will close from April 1 to 8 due to the ham fair. Reopening April 8, 2024 until October 31.
You can climb up to the Biakori virgin and Donkey service can pick you up and take you down to sleep at SJPDP and the next day pick you up at your hostel and take you back up to the virgin to continue to Roncesvalles. Here are the rates:
