As we were walking through town, getting ready for the decision of albergue, we passed a hotel where the guy offered us a pilgrim special, a queen size bed and bath tub.
Hard yes I said, and when we got to the room, my wife was a little surprised when I said I wanted a picture of her in the bath...
What I really want to know, is at the end of the day, after washing your clothes, showering and prepping your bunk, does the horse go for a beer with you? Or do they hang around with the other horses and drink there?
There has been so many discussions on forum about this movie. Many positive, some not so.
In the end, IMHO,a movie is a story, often a story trying to pass on a lesson or just an entertainment. Is the movie an exact representation of the Camino? No.
Is it an entertaining view of the amino…yes...
You will never really be alone, or at least you will only be as alone as you choose to be.
The Camino provides man things to many people….but I suspect the most prolific item it has provided to pilgrims are kindred spirits, some who wander into your path at a time that they are needed.
Warning about bringing euro with you from home….but only if you are as dim witted as I was!
