Due to fly to Porto tomorrow (4th June) but the UK government are considering downgrading Portugal to amber today. I'm devastated - ready to head for the airport. I miss the camino so much albeit its only my third. Fingers crossed and lots of prayers!!!
Hi Marius
I am walking the same camino in June. Any tips about where to stay, where to eat, do's and don't's? Did you start from Santiago - if so, how did you get to Valenca?
Buen Camino
Don't worry too much about which buses to take. If you get a bus from the airport to the bus station in SDC, the staff there will advise you what to do albeit in broken English or pointing to signs etc. Check with the driver / other passengers before you board a bus. Most of the other passengers...
Due to time constraints I can only spend a week on the camino but every week spent on a camino is a week well spent and creates not only a week but a lifetime of memories.
As Wayfarer said, the DP Cristal is nice. I stayed there last year. It is definitely a taxi ride from the bus station but it is right on the camino. You come out of the hotel, turn left immediately and you are on your way. Buen Camino.

Hi Ekelund, your words are very encouraging - thank you. I am more worried about decants actually, they hurt more. I am now considering the walk from Tui to SDC, it looks flatter, but I haven't written off CI. I have time to decide, I'm not walking until June. Thanks everyone for your help.
Thanks everyone for your help. Unfortunately my free time has been reduced to a week. I think I will walk the camino Ingles. I hope its not too hilly as my knees are crocked! Is it true the the CI is very quiet and you might not meet any other people? Too busy is one thing but too quiet...I'm...
I have about 10 days to complete a walk (to Santiago) this year and I am wondering where is the best place to start. Last year I walked from Sarria to Santiago which I really enjoyed but I would like a different route this year. I appreciate there is lots of info on the forum but if you could...
I find 1000 miler tactel liner socks great. They have a liner and outer sock in one. They guarantee that you won't get a blister wearing them for 1000 miles. you can google them. Good luck and burn camino
