Personally, I think the credencia with all the unique and sometimes very decorative stamps is a much more impressive document than the Compostela which really only states that I walked 100km. On my next Camino, I think I would completely skip that last 100 km.
Maybe it would be worth the extra weight that in addition to bringing a sleeping bag, to also bring a bivuac and foam mat, so that if there is no accommodation one could sleep under the stars.
Has anyone walked from Bayonne to SJPDP?
I was considering walking directly from Bayonne and wondering what the route is like. Ideally I would like to avoid busy roads.
