My sis and I walked into O Porriño and couldn't find our hotel so we ducked into a farmacia for directions. I'll always remember how nice and clean and great smelling it was and the employees were so nice and helpful. I bought a tube of facial sunscreen which was a bit expensive but I loved it...
Joseph and Ralph Fiennes mother, Jennifer Lash, wrote a wonderful book,
On Pilgrimage, about her travels to several holy sites one being Santiago de Compostela. It's probably still in print. Get it if you can and read it. Very inspirational.
My sister and I walked Camino Portuguese this year in June from Porto to SdeC. She packed jerky in her pack with no problem. And let me tell you, it was delicious and a nice treat on stretches where nothing was available. Thanks, Costco!

Thermal long sleeved shirts. We got in to Ponferrada and had no idea it was going to be that cold. Shame on us for not checking the Weather Channel. Almost blew them off but its a good thing we did not. Fitz Roy outfitted us. Good thing too because before we got to La Faba we knew we were in for...
