I just recently switched from Altras because they were breaking down so quickly. If they are available in the Netherlands I highly recommend Topo Athletic Ultraventure 3. They have a wide toe bed and great cushioning. I added a hiking insert and have been extremely happy wearing them right out...- Inigirl
