I'm a long distance walker, so for me, the Camino's are a European crawl along a well provided infrastructure. The athletic challenge, the nature, the history, the moment in time experienced with people you meet and other intangibles make it a special and unique experience. Every walk in some...
I'm walking the route in Sept. , flying to Madrid and train to Pamplona. . I have checked Rome to Rio for transportation to SJPP and taxi/private transport looks to run about $300.00. Is there a less expensive ride strategy?

When in Spain….realized quickly that most food on the trail is just okay if you’re lucky. I began to see food as calories in. But most walkers don’t go for the experience of the food.
That is the most challenging on the last half of the Norte, but it can be done in divided stages. There’s less road walking, which should help. Exercise ordinary caution and you should be fine. From Vilalba, it’s just long, not as much up and down. Go for it. Age is a number.
