Congratulations, you just experienced the true meaning of the Camino. We have done 3 so far, each with An “angel story” . It restores your faith in humanity.
Thank you for the information. We bought ours at an Asian store for $8.50 euros each and they lasted til the end of our Camino and left them in Santiago😞
We took the train, it takes you to Chamartin station where you can either go to the airport or to the city via Metro. We bought the tickets the day before to make sure. If you know when you want to leave, buy asap.
Don’t stop. Get help or therapy there and rest. Walk less or do whatever it is necessary to recover. It is a Camino lesson. Keep listening to the voice whispering YES! You can do it !
Interesting observation. Here in the US very few speak other language and when they do, they are pressure to speak ONLY English that is not even the official language. You can continue to use your hands to communicate or learn the language yourself.
I also found the North Camino to be more expensive. In 2014, from Le Puy Venlay, we (2) spent less than 3,500 dollars. Del Norte (2) October 2022, over 6,000 dollars, food, albergues and some hotels were the cost for 2 was comparable to the albergues.
Big different experience, but still, it is...

We started this route first week in March 2014, we thought it was too early, must of albergues were closed, follow miam miam and restsurants have rooms you can stay and they are good and safe, for one person, you will spend $40 euros per day. We took a train from Moisac to St Jean because it was...
