Hi,
We are scheduled to arrive in Zamora Friday (May 17) and begin walking the Sanabres route Saturday morning. I was wondering where you get your first sello. I assume we can't get one in Zamora since we're just starting, but then how do we prove to the place in the next town where we...
Thanks everyone so much for your input. It is a huge help! The route straight to Salamanca from the airport is looking better and better. This site looks promising for getting from Salamanca to Zamora:

Thanks again,

Thanks so much for the responses! Yes, we are walking the Sanabres! Will be arriving 5/17. We were going to start in Salamanca, which would be easier since apparently you can get a bus there directly from the airport terminal, but we have limited time and want to be free to walk to either...

Andy

Hi,
My plan is to fly into Madrid and make my way to Zamora, by bus I suppose. I want to walk the Via de la Plata though Portugal and am trying to figure out exactly how to access the trail once in Zamora. Kind of hard to tell from online maps. Thanks so much for any help.

Hi all,
My name is Andy Shearer. I am coming from North Carolina in the USA and am beginning my plans to do the El Camino from Madrid. The isolation of this path appeals to me but I understand it may also bring some added difficulties (Lodging, food, water, markers, etc.) Would really...
