Hello! I'm planning a camino in March. I've been obsessively reading the posts here ever since we decided we were going earlier this year.
Anyway, one of my BIG projects is learning Spanish. I've got it in my head that I want to be functional by next March. I'm starting a blog about learning...
I'd like to pick up some basic Spanish before next spring. I'm fluent in French, so I expect that that will help me learn.
What's the best way to learn (both in terms of efficiency and price) if in-person lessons are not an option? I live in the middle of nowhere and there are no classes or...

FSO weight: 7319 grams + about 1500 grams for snacks and water...

(Cecelia, I hope you don't mind that I'm copying and pasting your comment from another thread.)...
I realize that weather is unpredictable, but in general are shorts necessary on an early spring camino? I've spent a lot of time thinking about layering for warmth...and now I'm worried that I'll end up being too hot near the end! Ha!
I don't like zip-off trousers. At all. They just don't feel...
This is mainly a question for the ladies.
I know that the camino isn't a fashion show, but I'm wondering if anyone's figured out a way to not look like a complete disaster when taking in the sights in cities? An athletic skirt (which I prefer to walk in instead of shorts) paired with my black...
