    Albergue Orisson

We booked two months in advance for Orisson because we heard they do book up. I was glad we did. It is a tough 8 km pretty steep uphill and also Orisson is a great place to meet people and to just get comfortable and have a short day because you won't have many after that. Very glad we stop...

To go with my partner or go it alone???

One more thing. My daughter came with me because she was worried I would get hurt. Needless to say I was fine but she got blisters so bad we ended up in a 24/7 clinic and we had to take days off for her to recover not once but a couple times. We did not get to do the Meseta because of her...

San Xil or Samos?, that is the question.

To be honest I was not impressed with San xii because I was hungry and many of the towns were two or three buildings and no bars. Also lots of hard rocky paths. If I do it again I would not take this way. One of my least favorite parts.

Go to the pharmacy and they will tell you for sure then get the spray for all future beds and the cream. I got them in astorga and told them and they looked at me like what do you want me to do. My daughter who does not get them woke up to one on her pillow. I took all my clothes to the...

    Training for the Camino

Hilly is one thing but the rocks are nothing what I expected. some rock paths do not even look like anyone ever walked the path. Very steep hills up and down. The downs are worst than the ups. But it is still a great experience fit or not.

I would suggest you start walking hills not sure if that is possible in Florida but I am in pa and I worked on stamina and I am not sure it helped because the up and down steep hills are what takes the most out of your body many people have knee issues from the steep down lots of knee braces...
