Camino Francés Federación to ban suitcases in their albergues (11 albergues affected by this rule)

Yes. Read Johnnie Walker's book 'It's About Time' for an excellent take on that.

    Free lunch

One thing no-one has mentioned is the fact that pilgrims who eat in the Parador are taking part in a ritual that has been going for several hundred years. Never mind the quality of the food or the (lack of) ambience. Think about all those who have gone before you and who would have been...

    Two weeks on Camino Norte

Yes, the Primitivo would be a good option. See photos.

Is the Camino Primitivo more physically challenging than other routes?

Thanks Peregrina. May 2018 if I remember correctly.

Agree with all of the above. Have a look at some photos we took. Some of them are included in our book 'Walking the Caminos: a User's Guide' (Amazon)

Planning to Walk the Camino Mozárabe de Málaga: Questions and Concerns

I think taking the bus to Junta de los Caminos is a good idea. I did that when I walked this camino and was glad I did because it looked a really boring, slightly uphill trek through the suburbs. From Juntos you are immediately into the countryside.

    Book Recommendations

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Johnny Walker's 'It's About Time. A call to the Camino de Santiago'. A lovely and thoughtful little book.

Camino de Santiago de Gran Canaria

On holiday in Gran Canaria my wife and I snatched a day on the Camino. This was day 3, from Tunte to Cruz de Tejada following a bus ride from Maspalomas. Only 9 miles but it was tough, with about 3,500 feet of climbing. My being 75 probably didn't help! Some photos to give you an idea of the...

    Mozarabe from Malaga

Hope it goes well. If you want to miss out the urban sprawl, take a bus to La Junta de Los Caminos, then it's 16k to Almogia and the albergue.

    Malaga to Cordoba

I was going to let you know how it went but something got in the way - oh yes, lockdown. The walk was brilliant. Late flight arrival meant that I couldn't get into my AirBnB so I ended up sleeping in someone's garage in the centre of Malaga. Weather was brilliant throughout and I met a couple...
