    A pickle

Thanks for the comments guys, finally got to read them.. in Roncevales! The train was 10 minutes late and the bus another 30. Just caught the guys running the office as they were coming down the street, and found a bed for the night. Relieved :-)

    A pickle

I'm currently enroute to SJPDP and just found out that my plane is delayed by half an hour so i'll miss the connecting train. I think the next train gets into sjpdp at about 10:20. Any ideas if there is a place with a bed that late? F

How to get from Nice to Banyuls (early stage of camino)

As part of an extended Camino I will be landing in Nice (France) this summer. Instead of walking straight to Saint Jean I'd like to head west instead to Banyuls and follow the HRP up along the Pyrenees. The E7 is conveniently placed, replaced by the E4 when it cuts south. Their doesn't seam to...

    VF - Crossing the Alps

Hi guys, Is anyone aware of a good ultralight sleeping bag for the Alps section of the walk in June? I hear it's pretty cold up there :D. I'm 6ft3 and camping. Thanks, F.Ashley

    Ear plugs and the alarm

With all due respect, most of your comments are out of context to the alarms purpose (which hasn't been strictly outlined) and also that of this thread. If this were my first Camino the question "should I/shan't I" may have been asked, but this is Camino #2. We can all agree, a vibrating alarm...

    Ear plugs and the alarm

    Yes an alarm.

    Ear plugs and the alarm

I have my reasons for an alarm. Some times it's nice to walk in the dark at 4, others to prevent an 8 o'clock lie-in which ear plugs have a habit of doing :D @susanawee That line was intended as a joke, no grudges are held :) - yes, i'm probably one of them

    Ear plugs and the alarm

Hi guys, looks like it's El Camino round 2 (cannot wait!)! Among all those brilliant/euphoric memories! I'm still haunted to this day by those snorers (no hard feelings :p). With no experience of using ear plugs, i bought these http://tinyurl.com/khkqy8m which were so bad that they could have...

    Crossing the Pyrenees hyperlapse

    I hear you - bit of a roller-coaster ride!

    Crossing the Pyrenees hyperlapse

Hi Sarah, i'd say three things contribute too difficulty. Aside from the 23km length, you have a sharp incline from 0:39 to 0:56 (finishes with a well placed fountain). And that steep decline at 2:21 which is slightly longer than the (difficult) incline - beware of this, most injuries occur on...

    Crossing the Pyrenees hyperlapse

@donalomahony Oh yes, the white van and it's hard boiled eggs! @PANO In terms of kit - a GoPro, chest harness and an external battery. For software - PhotoShop to align the images and AfterEffects to compile them!

    Crossing the Pyrenees hyperlapse

Hello past, present and future pilgrims! I shot this hyperlapse of the Pyrenees section of the walk back on my Camino in 2012. Hopefully it quells a few nerves for some and brings back a flood of memories for others ! :-)
