We are just now in Barcelos after starting the coastal route from Porto. A warning: it is extremely windy as in gusty windy so October could be cold. And the boardwalk is very hard on your feet. It's an relatively flat walk but hard surface. We changed our itinerary after 1 day of coastal route...
I don't want to start any large debates over footwear. However, wondering on the CP if trainers were an option or trail running shoes? Wore boots on CF last summer and debating this one in my mind. Would appreciate feedback.
Look at Title Nine they have shorts that you could wear underneath skirts but also have some quick dry skorts. I prefer them over Athleta due to fit and how long the clothing lasts.
Try on and take a look at the Dueter 34L. REI sales clerk suggested it along with the Gregory. The Dueter fits like a dream with great airflow. There are small pockets on the belt as well. You might be surprised at how well you like it
