    2016 September/October Peregrinos Departures

Good morning GreatAunt & Everyone planning for Sept/Oct! I've been meaning to do this walk for a while now and I've eventually arrived at a stage where I can make this possible. Please could you put me down for Mid-September (St Jean)? Many thanks and I hope to meet some of you later in the year.

Socializing with other pilgrims on the Camino

Pretty much. Sangria is Generally red wine, fresh fruit and occasionally a small amount of Brandy. I sometimes add a bit of orange juice if I'm feeling particularly daring..

Socializing with other pilgrims on the Camino

I've spent a lot of time all over Spain and the islands and it's extremely common in the places I've visited. Some restaurants do charge a Corkage fee for BYO, however.

Question about theft along the Camino

After reading the tips on here about camera weight and security etc, I think I'll just be taking my mobile phone with a spare memory card for photos. Does all the jobs in one and only needs one power outlet.

Question about theft along the Camino

I'm glad the OP asked the question as I've found a couple of good tips in this thread. Ignore anyone wanting to keep the forum 'tidy' by not having duplicate threads. You can see from the Thread Title whether you want to engage in conversation. If not, ignore it and move on. It's sad to read...

    Hi all - New Pilgrim

Hi Chris, Thanks for getting in touch. I've heard that the Salomon's are the way to go. I'm after a trail/hiker shoe/trainer hybrid which it looks like they sell. I'll be looking into as much quick-dry gear as I can so all recommendations are welcome! Do keep me updated! Buen Camino.

    Hi all - New Pilgrim

Hi T2, Thanks very much for taking the time to write this, it's very nuch appreciated. Believe me, I'm not going into this will Hollywood tinted spectacles, I know it will be an extremely arduous, yet rewarding adventure. Hi all - New Pilgrim

Thank's very much! Haha, I can imagine it being addictive. I've spent a couple of years travelling around the world but now back in the 9-5 office life.. The travel bug itch is getting worse by the day! I'll be sure to put some money into a good pair of boots and a few decent socks. I'm...
