I'm truly not trying to Scare Anyone !
I've planned a multi 3 month Camino experience beginning April 18th with the Portuguese Central.
For this reason I'm following several Facebook Pages. As well as here as I did on my First Camino the Francis in 2016. Then and now as a Women..alone.
It's...
Igreja de Santiago
I'm arriving in Lisbon on April 18th to begin my Camino to Santiago.
I'd desired my first stamp to be from this church.
Do they offer a stamp?
A site for the church states that it's only open on Sundays at 9am and Wed 530pm. except August.
I'm willing to put my departure off...
I've purchased my airline tickets!
Toronto to Lisbon April 17th. I plan to walk the central Portuguese. Then travel to St Jean DuPort to rewalk the French .
And complete with the Finisterre.
Then return to Canada on July 7th.
In time to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary with my hubby on...
Hoping to walk again in 2023.
Trying to decide between walking the full Frances again or the Portugues from Lisbon.
Walked in 2016 with what was wrongly diagnosed as Multiple sclerosis.
Now correctly diagnosed with 4 Lyme diseases.
Unfortunately after a successful walk I had a waterskiing...
All day yesterday the urge to book a flight for a May 2020 return was so strong.
Strangely at 2pm a memory popped up on Facebook. It turned out that Jan 8th was the day I booked my flight to Paris for my Camino 4 years ago.
As you all know I dislocated my hips waterskiing a week after returning...
It’s done.
My left hip was replaced yesterday at 1 pm.
That’s two new hips and two new knees in 13 months.
I’ve been cleared by the Surgeon and Physio to go home.
Now I just wait on the Nursing dept. to catch up....lots of discharges today.
I’m wondering if any of you on the forum traveled with your dog. I know I saw a few. Would you do it again? Does it pose a problem for train travel....hostels etc.
Buen Camino friends.
Well tomorrow Feb 16th my right knee will be one year old. The first of many. My right hip followed in July. My left knee in November. On March 7th I'll receive my new Left hip. If you remember I walked the Camino in its entirety in 2016. On week after returning home I...
When I returned home from my 2016 Camino I purchased the hiking umbrella from the Forum Store.
I found the lack of shade one of my hardest trials while walking. I was wondering if anyone has tried it.
Does it hold up to the windy situations on the Camino ?
Thank you
For those of you starting out this year...
when I left Ontario,Canada in May 2016 I left behind a supportive but worried family...my wonderful husband, 5 children and 6 grandchildren. They all encouraged me to go....but as I was going alone...they were concerned. I promised to stay in touch as...
Hello everyone
Those that have been following me know of my challenges.
I’ve currently had my right knee, right hip and left knee replaced. I have my left hip replacement planned for February/March 2019.
I walked from SJDP to Santiago in 2016. The most enriching and amazing experience of my 54...
Hello Everyone
As many of you know I walked my first Camino in 2016. That was the most amazing experience of my life. I arrived back in Ontario, Canada July 8 2016. On July 17 2016 I dislocated my hips waterskiing at our cottage. The dislocation shredded both my hips. I was 52 when it...
I’d like to wish all of my Camino Forum Friends
A very Merry Christmas and Blessed, Happy and Healthy New Year
May 2018 bring you the joys of walking, the dreams of doing so...
Or the amazing memories of being there.

Buen Camino
Sending Hugs from Canada

I'm sorry to say I found cyclists to be a great hazard while walking from St Jean to Santiago this summer. The speeds they zoomed by alarming. I assisted one as an ambulance was called and had to make the difficult journey to help. He flew down a hill around a blind corner almost hitting a...
I returned home after walking from SJDP to Santiago in July. I informed my hubby that the two of us would return the following year to walk from Santiago to Finesterre and Muxia. Then a week later I dislocated my hip , causing labral tears to both. Now no walking at all. The in activity is...
I know it likely seems odd but it just hit me.
A few short months ago I was sitting with this same tablet in hand eating up the words of seasoned pilgrims. Nervously planning and wondering if I could really do it. The packing and repacking. The stressing if I have everything...if I have too...
