I'm sure there is a thread somewhere but I need to know quickly the address to send extra luggage to Ivan in Santiago ? Not getting a response from him direct and am about to jump on a plane from Melbourne. I intend posting from Pamplona in about 48 hours so any response would be fantastic. So...
Mike,
Good luck with Napoleons route, hope it opens for you. Did you see the pic of the pilgrim in shorts in the snow a couple of weeks ago ? I'm hoping by another 4 weeks the snow will have to have melted ....
Buen Camino
Kanga just got the Alsa link to work from your post and one leaves 10:45am from T4 so that should be enough time surely ... Like the idea of not dicking around getting into Madrid sleep deprived and arriving Pamplona 3:30pm.
Thanks so much
Katie
Guys,
Your help has been wonderful ! I am still deciding but arrive T1 so I'd say either a) EMT express bus to Atchoa for the 3pm train & check out the museum
b) get to T4 for the bus to Pamplona (Renshaw can you please direct me to the best website as I keep getting no buses leaving on 23rd...
Hi everyone,
Can someone tell me how much time I need to get from Madrid airport to Puerta De Atocha train station ? I arrive 8:40 am from Australia on a Saturday and on this day there is only a 9:40 am or 3pm train to Pamplona, I think the earlier one is cutting it pretty close. Alternately...
Hi Barb & Hubby,
That's great to know. My aim on the Sunday will be to get over my jet lag before heading off. Let's stay in touch and maybe if it suits we could meet up the night before ?
Can anyone recommend a good place to stay in SJPDP for a good nights sleep ?
Katie
Alex, I went out for dinner with a friend who did Camino Frances a year ago & the best advice I received was stay 1-2 villages before or after the main route stops. That way she found it was never too busy, there was always a bed, and she walked alone as she wanted, often by starting early each...
GreatDane, what is a buff ? Different language here in down under.
Also why water bottle over Platypus ? I was thinking of one litre SIG, with one litre platypus as the backup for longer stretches (like the first day).
I leave SJPDP April 25th, first Camino, very excited ! Am still deciding on...
Thanks both peregrina2000 and falcon269, the links are excellent. Am favouring flying into Madrid, think it will feel more like a pilgrim experience right from the beginning.
Does the luggage lockup at Charmartin station have a good reputation and is there a link to cost somewhere ...
Hi,
I'm new to this forum and walking my first Camino Frances end April from SJPDP, just under three months now ! I am flying from Australia and flights are very comparable to either Madrid or Paris. I will be travelling for a few weeks afterwards to Crete (from Madrid) and wondering the best...
Hi,
This is my 1st post and I am doing my 1st Camino April-May 2016 starting SJPDP. Very excited !
What is the latest advice re sending all the way to Santiago via Express Bouricot for 70€ including storage. Have there been any bad experiences with this ?
