Where can I get a pilgrims passport in Porto!!!

Yes, I sent him the link to it but he hasn't joined it yet. I just wanted the info to get him started and then he is on his own. He is 19 and it will be good for him to figure things out.

Did you do the coastal route? He isn't doing that one.

Where can I get a pilgrims passport in Porto!!!

And are there arrows on the river walk? I did this in 2009 but he has my guidebook so I can't refer to it. I followed the arrows and ended up on the busy road walk out of town. I am sure walking by the river would have been much nicer.

Where can I get a pilgrims passport in Porto!!!

He has the credential because he was planning on starting in Lisbon and got one there. I just wanted to mainly know where he could find his first arrow.

Thanks so much for the reply. Yes, he does have the Brierley guidebook. He will be coming from Coimbra to Porto on Sao Bento railway so he should be able to see the tiles. Thanks again.

Belinda, because of time constraints with his return ticket, he has decided to start in Porto instead. I doubt you will meet up but thanks for looking for him. Hope you have an amazing Camino.

Where can I get a pilgrims passport in Porto!!!

No, it is my nephew arriving by train but I am not sure what the name of the cathedral is and if there is an albergue or hostel near the cathedral where he can start. This is his first camino.

Large pdf with a list of albergues from SJPP to Finisterre

Wonderful resource. I wish I had this the last time I did the camino. It would be great if there was some way of knowing which places have snorers rooms.

Music that goes through your head on the Camino

It rained 10 days straight when I walked in 2006 so I spent a lot of time singing Raindrops are Falling on My Head, Singing in the Rain and My Favorite Things. Also I sang Climb Every Mountain, Ain't No Mountain High Enough when I came to the steep parts. I need to learn some lyrics before my...

Hospitalero(a) - How Does One Become One so as to Volunteer?

I volunteered for 2 weeks at L'Esprit du Chemin in SJPP. There is a place on the website where you can contact them about volunteering. Before I started I imagined myself working in the morning and taking short hikes up the Pryenees during the day to train before I started the Camino. It didn't...

We are both turning 60 next year and there is no better way to celebrate than doing another Camino. I will be house sitting in Spain the winter of 2011 and then...

    Some minor info on Porto/SDC

I now remember that the albergue didn't open until 5. A friend and I sat int the park next door and dangled our hot and tired feet in the fountain. The people in charge of the albergue were very nice when we were there.

    Some minor info on Porto/SDC

I am looking at the map in Brierley's guide and it looks like it is a little over 14k before Ponte de Lima. It was donation. If I remember correctly Ponte de Lima is a fairly new albergue with free internet. Very nice.
