    I wear Vibram Fivefinger most days and other shoes next to never. I wear boots to walk and Vibrams the rest of the time, I have tried to walk in the the Vibram Fivefinger and I could not get my feet hardened enough past five km. Modern boots are light and good for all day walking. Jon
