I left SJPP at 2.45pm, and arrived at Roncesvalles at 8pm in time for dinner, it poured with rain for the duration of it:) So i think, if you are organised, and leave SJPP in the morning, you will easily make it to Roncesvalles by the afternoon..hopefully the sun will shine for you!

I've been thinking recently about doing the Caminho Portuguese from Lisbon (interior) April 1st.
I have had a brief look online, and I'm still undecided. Things that concern me: snakes, Mosquitos, being the only pilgrim, safety and rain.
My gut says go and do it.

I think your recognition that something in your life must change, that you're no longer content to proceed with your current lifestyle is great! I guess many people that embark on the Camino don't have that awareness.
