Well so much for my optimism - I fell down the stairs and did some serious damage - I'll still be on crutches at Christmas. I am going to Seville anyway....but I'll be doing a bit of busing around instead of hiking......
Ah thanks - I should add that I am Irish - so I've done a fair bit of walking here in unkind weather.....
No such thing as bad weather - Only bad clothes - or so they say....
I see my query got a lot of views - so I'll be sure and come back here and write about my experience(s) after my trip. In the meantime - if anyone else out there has been on that leg at this specific time - I'd love to hear how you got on.
Thank you again. I like hiking alone so that won't bother me. Like to meet a few people at night though - but that won't be the end of the world -as I will only be walking for a short time. And thanks for the advice on the streams. A bit of a problem for me as I have a dodgy leg - so my...

Loads of helpfull info there - thanks a million to all of you. well I need to read through it all and check those websites....But a question I might venture for the moment. Looks like I will be walking from Santander to Oviedo. are there stops where one could stay between those stages listed by...
I planned to walk for about 5/6 days in early September. However I hurt my leg and may only be able to walk for a short time each day. I have the Guide by Alison Raju. It shows distances between villages/points of interest. It only shows where Refugios are though. So my first question is - is...
I want to order my bag on line. there is some brialliant information here - but apart from the Snugpack ( it seems grand - but is that bit heavier than the others ) i cant seem to find one I can order from the UK. I am in Ireland and I am travelling on 1st September so I want to make sure I get...
