I really enjoy reading your post, looking forward to read the next every day. You describe the route so well I wish I were there. I especially appreciate your reflections on life on the camino, meeting people, leaving people and your thoughts on beeing an older person. I am a female solowalker...
Like your description of Lucca and your walk to Altopascio. Beautiful photos. Can’t wait to April 2 when I will start my walk from Lucca…. Will be following your posts.
Beautiful albergue, stayed there alone i may 2019. Newley renovated. Aproxx 15 bunkbeds in a row in a stonewalled “hallway” on ground floor. No dundgeon.
The day I was there, the restaurant was closed, but I managed to get a sandwich at the bar. Very quiet place saw almost none.
Casa Fernanda - yes a wonderful experience - I stayed there on my very first camino in May 2012, recommended by a friend. Fantastic she and her family are still keeping up the good work.🙏❤️
I agre, la Lana is a very solitary Camino. Walked Alicante - Cuenca early May this year. I was lucky to meet two men my first night at Orito an had company to Almansa and Alatoz. The following days I walked by myself, saw no more peregrinos.
Next year I will try a less solitary route after some...
I just walked to Sul in Norway on the St Olavs way which starts in Sundsvall/ Selånger, Sweden. The part I walked today was amazing. I am still in awe. In August I walked from Sundsvall/Selånger to Mörsil, where I had to stop due to kneeproblem. A few days ago I started from Åre to continue to...
I had to cancell la Lana 2020 and 2021, really hope it will work i late april 2022. This summer i walked St Olavs route instead, from Sundsvall, Sweden ( at home in my case). Had to stop on day 12 because of starting to have knee artritis, only got to Mörsil. I am training my knee every day now...
Postponing my Camino la Lana walk of April 29. Have been thinking of it for some time - todays advocera from the moderators made the decision easier At the moment very disapppointed and sad - bit it is for the best! I will be back!!!
Hi, glad to hear so many are starting before and after me on La Lana. Maybe I will meet someone starting the same time as I, Wednesday April 29 from Alicante. Hope to make it to Bugos April 26 or 27. Starting to get excited to get going on my 9th camino. Marianne
Thank you bjorgts for your videos and especially for comments on finding the best way to walk. Very useful for me as solowalker, getting stressed when I feel lost.
I will definitely walk La Lana in spring 2020.
Thank you Laurie and p_mci for your suggestions. I have started to read about those caminos on the forum. Mozarabe and Olividado sounds fantastic - must be on my must walk list, maybe too many steep decents for my knees right now, but that might change .C Ebro I have never looked at until...
First of all I will thank Jean-Luc and the lovely ladies at the Amigos Office in Valencia for helping me my first day of the Levante.
I am back, having walked end of April-end of May, contemplating my experieces. I walked by myself most days, in four weeks I met 10 other peregrinos, but never...
Thank you eamann for starting this thread. You made my aware I night have difficulty finding a bed/room the weekend around 1 May. I will leave Valencia 19 April and plan to be in Las Pedroñeras 30 April. I now have made sure i will have somewhere to stay at that time. Looking forward to start...
Anyone starting the Levante on the 19 of April? The Levante is a solitary camino, I have read. Would be good to know that others are on the route that I may bump into. I do’nt mind walking alone, would be nice to have dinner company.
I will spend one day touristing in Valencia before setting...
