Ruta de la Lana - Alicante to Almansa

Guides that will let you complete the journey your way.
Ruta de la Lana - Just a short week on the Lana from Alicante to Almansa - really very excited to get back on a pilgrim route!
Let us know how you get on. A lot of people are planning to walk the Lana next year (i.e. me and my partner) so any up to date info, especially re albergues would be more than welcome. Buen camino.

Uh oh, traffic jam on the Lana. When are you planning to walk @dick bird? I have my sights set on late April.

@roving_rufus, did you by any chance take the mountain alternative from Villajoyosa or Benidorm instead of starting in Alicante? It goes through Relleu, Ibi, Onil and Torremanzanas, but maybe not in that order.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Will do - at moment it seems a mixed bag re albergues being open or closed, but equally a few of the cheaper hostals are booked out (workers etc staying longer term)

I had to cancell la Lana 2020 and 2021, really hope it will work i late april 2022. This summer i walked St Olavs route instead, from Sundsvall, Sweden ( at home in my case). Had to stop on day 12 because of starting to have knee artritis, only got to Mörsil. I am training my knee every day now in order to get started on la Lana this spring, but I might have to be very careful, listen to my body and probably walk shorter distances this time. Looking forward to traffic jam....
