Thanks so much!
I've been looking at the forecast on my phone the entire month. just wasn't sure what 16° / 17° "feels like" when you're there.
Each region has its own temperature and temperament ... you know?
Buen Camino xx
Any one in or near Porto at the moment? I am starting there on Monday and would like to know what the weather is like at the moment?
Regards from Namibia
Morning all.
Spoke to Embassy in Windhoek yesterday.
Namibians are still not allowed into Portugal.
Our tickets are to Porto, but flights have not resumed.
Flights to Lisbon have started in October last year, but with very very strict criteria - only essential travel.
We were supposed to fly out...
Oh gosh!
We fly in to Madrid from Johannesburg next Wednesday - with Iberia!
And have to get connecting flight to Vigo same day! I'm holding alllll my thumbs now!
So interesting to read all about your trips!
We are leaving for Vigo in 3 weeks time - Would like to find out where we should get passports? Tourist info or rather at the cathedral?
Had to wait HOURS at cathedral in Ponferada in 2016 for the priest to have time to help us....
Any ideas?
Buen Camino
Wow! I couldn't say it any better! I feel exactly the same. I live thousands of miles away in southern Africa, but my whole being can still relive the feeling I had when I left Santiago d C and set out for Negreira.
Ivar, this site keeps my memories alive! Thank you and blessings
Thank you very much for the advice! I still have a bit of time to make up my mind where to go and I appreciate all the info!
Have and great ( work) week ahead!

Hi!
I walked from Santiago to Finesterre in May 2016 and although the route was much quieter than before Santiago, it really didn't feel secluded at all . Of my entire camino, I enjoyed the accomodation in Negreira the most...such a kind lady and a really nice hostal, just as you come into town...
Hi all!
My question is regarding finances. I'm from Namibia (close to South Africa) and have walked the Camino Frances and Finesterra in 2016 and Camino Real in 2017. I would like to know how the pilgrim accommodation costs in Italy compare to Spain. ..our exchange rate at the moment is N$ 16...
Hope this not the wrong place to ask my question...I'm travelling from Namibia in two weeks to walk the Sanabria from Verin/ Laza. Walked the CF in May 2016; which I found very easy and comfortable. Now I'm worried about the heat / difficulty / long stretches that I read about..is this also true...
Planning on walking from Verin/ Laza to Santiago and onwards to Finesterre end of August..can we get pilgrim's passports in Verin?
Our flight in Madrid arrives at 18h00 and we leave on nightbus at 23h00..should we rather pick up passport in Madrid? Would it be possible after hours?
Thanks a lot!
