Camino Portuguese - Starting in 2 Weeks

I am trying to keep my packing list to the absolute lightest possible. Is it really necessary to carry sleeping bag, towel, and toiletries if there are hostels all along the route. Or am I thinking too much like hotel accomodations? Can you offer advice?

Hello, I am arriving Porto on May 17th to walk the Porto to Santiago Route. This is my first trip to Europe. Very excited and open to the whole experience.
