I haven't done a Camino yet, but I walk daily five-six miles on local hills with some rocky terrain. I wear Hoka One-Ones and love them. My foot is high arched and a little wide at the ball. I wore them on a four mile hike straight out of the box and didn't get a blister. No blisters so far, but...
I'm planning a hike in that area for next fall, and found some relatively inexpensive Air BnB's in Northern France -- 20-50 euro. I've stayed at Air BnB's in the past and found them to be good experiences. You might want to check that out.
