I think every day is different but we arrived in Santiago today (whoops of delight) at about 12.30. We had already completed our application for compostella and had the QR code. We were directed to a queue and given a number - about 20 mins later we had our compostella and certificate of...
Hi, we stayed in a lovely Albergue ran by a family from South America. I think I remember He said it was a donativo when he bought it but as he wasn’t a Spanish citizen he couldn’t run it as a donativo but could operate it as a business. He really enjoyed his role so I hope you get the chance...
I don’t if this is the one you meant but 8 km after Carrion there is a van selling coffee and food. I wasn’t walking that day but my husband says he enjoyed the stop there it broke up the walk nicely
I think this is good advice, we are currently in cacabelos and started in SJPDP on 4th April. We booked through to Pamplona and then had no problem with walking in to Albergues. Unfortunately on the way in to Casterojeraz I fell and hurt my leg. After it was cleaned and dressed I was advised no...
I am currently on a train from Paris, we are stuck in Bordeaux, it is very delayed with no estimated time for leaving the station and I have missed my connection. There is a later connection which I am hoping to get which arrives SJPDP at 9 pm.
Will there still be anywhere open for food and...
Sorry, it's been a long hard night and day at work....baby boom in my city. I didn't read the dates correctly or post my dates correctly. We are booked for 4th April. So not very helpful after all.
We are planning to start on 5th April from SJPDP. It will be our first Camino after having to cancel in 2020. Training has started but keeping plans loose just in case.
Unlike many of you on this forum, this was a one off chance to walk the whole Camino Frances in one go. We will never have this opportunity again. I see no problem with investigating and planning a walk nearer home. Of course I am not leaving today! I am front line NHS staff and as someone...
Do you have a link to the "Yorkshire Camino" blog. As our plans for April Camino Frances have sadly been put on hold we are looking for an alternative in the UK. Sorry if its already there and I can't see it.
We start on 2nd April, would love to take Napoleon route if weather permits. We have been planning this for so long it feels a little surreal at the moment.
Buen Camino
We are both planning to start our retirement by walking CF from SJPDP on 2nd April 2020. My parents celebrated their retirement in 1996 by doing this and went on to do other routes and volunteered in Rabanal.
Buen Camino to all
