Credit Card Nightmare

Credit cards? I never needed a pin to use a credit card. Oh, were you trying to get cash from your credit card? Sounds like you needed an ATM/debit card instead. They work easy to get out cash from your bank with a pin. We used a credit card to charge hotel and restaurant bills.

We got 300 euros out of ATM when we got there. We replenished 2 or 3 more times. Used a credit card usually.

Albergues with curtains

I stayed in private rooms and needed fan for white noise so I used an app in my phone. It was great. If I had stayed in albergues i would have had to use ear phones which would have been a bummer.

The Laundromat is my friend

I like your plan! We had trouble getting/doing our laundry sometimes. I didn't like to hand wash as sometimes the clothes wouldn't be dry and I had better things to do like see the sights, nap, or eat! In Burgos we really needed to do laundry but hotel wouldn't do it as we missed the 10am drop...

OK, I have a confession to make. I need my first cup of coffee in the morning before i can THINK! I'm bringing a travel hot water maker, instant coffee, coffee mate packets, a cup, and my truvia! I am sending my bag ahead so I am ok on weight. I'll get my second cup of the morning after walking...

I know Hotel Roncesvalles accepts bags because mine is being sent there. I have heard Roncesvalles to Zubiri is not easy peasy and has some downhill also.

Beware of price gouging
