    In 2017 I stayed at Hotel Arriazu in the old city surrounded by restaurants and tapas bars, with easy access to the modern city as well as the old. I loved Pamplona.

    Perhaps the Pilgrins Office could hand out plastic bags with instructions on the disposal of toilet paper, wet wipes etc. Would cost less than the people employed to clean up. Might work, might not.

    I wore elastic knee guards which were really effective. I wore them every day from the start because I didn't want to go hunting for them when and if my knees began to hurt. Prevention rather than cure.
