Hi Janade. It may be my terminology (or lack of). It is a universal plug but i will only have the euro prongs fitted. It then has 4 usb holes. This means i only need my phone charging cable, not the plug. Hope this makes sense
Thanks Michelle for your suggestions. I will use the next 5 weeks to sample and test my options, hopefully the result will be a lighter load. I do have teva sandals for after wear or as a alternative.
Thanks Gabi, i will investigate the soap/shampoo sheets. But as for conditioner, you haven't seen my hair without it! I do have a concentrated leave in conditioner that i plan on taking. I am leaning towards the down jacket as i can use it as a pillow(in it's storage bag) and it also feels a lot...
Thanks Mikey, the Aarn has its own waterproof liner, however I have also used packing cells/mesh bags/zip lock bags for clothes, tevas and other items.
Thanks Vacajoe, I have considered either down or fleece and the down does fit under my jacket and I do prefer it for keeping me warm. I also thought i can use it (in it's storage bag) as a pillow. I am currently trialling Dr Bonners liquid and can't say i like it for my hair but will test it out...
Thanks
Thanks Jill for the feedback. Yes you're right i dont need both skirt and dress, although I'd like them both! Not sure what the caribiners are for? Saw a few suggestions so bought them - attaching things to my pack i suppose but not sure what!
I am planning to leave STJPDP on May 10 (assuming the SNCF angel helps me out by not cancelling my train trip from Paris the day before). I have been refining my pack and its contents for some time now, the result is in the attached list. A summary of which is: Current weight 6.4kg with a few...
Hi Katjaa, I am also pondering this issue however my Camino is not planned until May 2018. I have a pair of Teva Original sandals. The have a thong appearance (strap connected in between toes) and also have an ankle strap. My thinking on this is that if I was to experience any rubbing or...
Hi Elisha, Seeing you are in Australia, here's the sleeping bag I recently purchased from Snow Gum:
https://www.snowgum.com.au/shop/product/115691/507/snowgum-micro-600-down-sleeping-bag
Light weight and approx. $150AUD (I picked it up cheaper in one of their sales). Testing so far has been...
Yes BillyJane70 - I'm very spoilt. I recently reached a special "0" Birthday and my very special husband surprised me with this a a gift. It is such an indulgence and I plan to make the very most of it, all of course with the pretence that I need to ensure that I am well rested and fed before...
I'm going to check out the Kathmandu Yatra dress that Tigger suggested and also look at an Icebreaker Allure dress as I think they will both fit the bill. Highlandshiker's suggestion of adding a pretty scarf is a really good one as well. All being said, my Camino is not until May 2018, but with...
Thanks all for your advice. Yes Kanga, the shoes, still hoping to find some that can suit both (maybe wishful thinking) . Clothes to come back in - that gives me a good excuse to go shopping at the end. I do know that I am overthinking it all :)
Thanks Trigger, that looks like just what I pictured in my mind. It will be the first (and possibly last) time I get to sit up the pointy end of the plane, so don't want to look or feel too out of place.
I read this with interest, however my dilemma is that I was generously gifted with business class tickets for my flight(s) from Australia. I am now trying to hunt down a merino dress that will serve many purposes: the flight, the business class lounge, a couple of days of sightseeing in Paris...
Thanks Jo Jo, now that I consider it you are right in regards to weight and waterproofing. I also think it probably wouldn't be a good fit with a backpack, either under or over. Like the concept though as the two different uses would not be needed at the same time!
Thanks again
Janine
