Hi!!
My plans for the holiday season have changed. Instead, I'm going to bop around in the United States because my time is more limited (I currently have three part-time jobs!).
I'll be back on the Camino in the spring - though I am not sure which one. :)
I wanted to go from Jaen originally...
Raggy, you are a superstar! Thank you for all the details!
If my Spanish language skills were better I would love to spend time as a volunteer hospitalero on the Mozarabe. I hope that they find some suitable people to assist with this awesome Camino route! :)
Thank you very much Raggy and LTfit for your comments!
It is possible for me to carry food in my backpack, but I would be disappointed to miss out on sampling local cuisine along the route. (plus coffee and beer breaks!) Private accommodations are alright, but I also prefer pilgrim-specific...
Hello,
I'm hoping that all the kinks regarding international travel from Canada will be resolved by December. Fingers crossed that direct flights from Toronto to Madrid will also resume!
If so, I am thinking of walking a Christmas Camino from Jaen to Merida on the Mozarabe.
The last few...
The Canadian currency exchange rate to Euro is 😭 .
Definitely too pricey for a budget solo walker at the moment.
20-25 Euros is more reasonable for a bed. 😊
Better yet - a tent!
I need to complete the Malaga Mozarabe from Cordoba to Merida at some point. (Well, and also one stage from Almeria - and the connection from Jaen) :)
After meeting with the amigos, do you happen to know if budget accommodations are possible from Cordoba to Merida this autumn?
Hello, sorry for the delayed response!
I assume you have postponed your Camino at this time.
However, I used the PDF guide from the Camino association to plan my stages usually one or two days in advance. Booking.Com is also helpful with finding accommodation options. No need for tenting...
Alright! Completed the 8-day O Circuit in Torres Del Paine yesterday!
Day 14 (Pinos Puente to Moclin) will be uploaded tomorrow. The hike was stupendous!!!! Huge thank you to Amancio for suggestions the beautiful gorge alternative.
After that.... Patagonia videos begin! 🏔 🇨🇱
Hola!
I am in Patagonia now and my solo 8-day trek on the Torres Del Paine ‘O’ circuit starts tomorrow. No wifi or cell service out there!!!
I spent two nights in Granada, one day to Pinos Puente, and my final day was to Moclin via the gorge alternative. I’ll resume on the Mozarabe from...
Well guys, I am still in Granada!!!! I was a bit under the weather (no beers for three days!). I want to ensure I am fit and healthy before flying to Chile this weekend. Spending one week carrying all my food, and living in a tent on the Torres Del Paine trek requires full fitness levels...
Hello!
Just popping in to say the weather has been a bit crazy. I was without wifi for a few days so very tardy in posting videos. Heading into Granada today. I may not have time to make it Baena before my flight to South America- but it worth it to linger in a mountain village for a...
Hello,
It is January 2020 and I am currently on the Mozarabe! I only have two weeks before flying to Chile so I will end in Baena.
Next time I’ll walk Jaen- Baena - Merida. 😁
The Almeria Camino Association is absolutely fabulous and well-organized. Big thank you to Jorge, Nely & Alicia! The...
C Cleary - thank you for chiming in with your vote to bus past the first section out of Granada. Thumbs up
Mima - I appreciate the song link! Having the lyrics displayed in the screen is very helpful. 🙂
DIA supermarket——- They are cheap, have beer, Aquarius, chocolate, and usually sell my...
Thanks for the suggestion Raggy! I’m not sure how I feel about have a gap in connected footsteps. I suppose it really doesn’t matter unless I apply for a distance certificate from the pilgrim office when I eventually connect this Camino credential to Santiago (I am 95% sure I won’t bother...
Excellent information Laurie! 🥰
Thank you!
I am walking into Baena, taking an evening bus from Baena to Granada airport, flying to Barcelona, sleeping overnight on the airport floor, and then flying to Santiago early in the morning.
SANTIAGO, Chile that it!!!😆
Hello,
I have limited time due to flights. I would like to visit the Alhambra when I pass through Granada.
For those who have walked this Camino, what would you suggest for the day after the ‘Quentar to Granada’ stage?
Option 1:
-Sightsee in the morning & leave before 1pm to walk to Pinos...
Hello!
Glad you enjoy the videos! :)
I made a gear video last March immediately after finishing the Via de la Plata. I plan on making a general Camino gear video in the coming weeks with some updated suggestions.
Until then:
