Thank you for your positive words! We started in Almeria October 18, came to Granada October 26, and stopped in Baena on October 31. We were a bit worried about the weather and the temperature, but were very lucky on that autumn walk. Other years we have not been so lucky. Snow in Cuenca on...
I have just finished my photo-video from our walk in October/November. May be I will post some more information nearer to spring, but here is the video.
We stayed in Apartamentos Villa Torcal, Avenida Blas Infante 64, this October. We payed 37€. Nice place.
Some years ago we stayed in Rincon del Torcal, but it was closed this October.
As far as I know, there are no printed guides to the routes from Almeria or Malaga. The route from Almeria has a good online guide. You can find everything you need here (also in English): www.almeriajacobea.es
For the route from Malaga you can find some info about this here on the forum...
Will reach Cordoba tomorrow. Nice weather all the way. High temperature in late October/early November. Some rain today, but near to nothing. The route is very well marked now. No problems finding our way. Met two other pilgrims yesterday, coming from Granada. Nobody else.
Nice! Walked from Almeria two years ago. One of our best Caminos. And yes, the Amigos there are the best! Hope for good weather for all of us out walking. My be the rain will reach us in some days, but now it is really perfect.
I have eleven days this time, so I will end up fare from Merida. And since my husband and I are now near to 70, the long distances are not for us any more.
I am on Camino Mozarabe from Malaga just now. Weather and temperature just perfect. Better marked than 2 1/2 year ago. Near to perfect. El Torcal: a wonder!
I have walked both caminos, but I find it difficult to say who is the "best". They are different, and the walkers are different too, and when I read the comments here, I am sometimes surprised that people like/do not like different than me.
I too think that the Association in Almeria is...
Here comes the next part of our Camino last October; Granada - Cordoba. This is the landscape of olive trees! (The first part is the video from Almeria:
Camino de Santiago Mozarabe, Almeria - Granada 1)
We stopped in Baena this time, and since I think that was not the right place to end the...
Thank you to you all! It is nice to hear that you like my video. Since I have been so positive, maybe I should mention one thing that might be frustrating for someone: There are quite many distances of walking in more or less stony, dry riverbeds the first days. Especially the day we ended up in...
The route was very well marked. You have some alternatives on some places, but no problems finding our way.
We walked nine days. You can do it in less days, but we try to avoid days with very much more than 30 km, and then you must split up in som short distances from time to time.
No guide...
Here comes my photo-video, from our walk late October from Almeria to Granada. It was an excellent Camino in many ways, and the friends in Almeria are excellent too! If anybody has questions about new things connected to this Camino, maybe I can answer.

La Asociación Jacobea de Málaga has a “noticia” that there now is a new guide for Camino Mozarabe from Malaga in the province of Malaga (Malaga - Encinas Reales). It looks very good.

The Camino association in Malaga (Asociación Jacobea de Málaga) had a wonderful website. Now it's gone. The information is: This domain has been suspended. Does anyone know what har happened? :(
