I may not be much help because I studied Soanish for years, never reaching fluency. I had to learn Camino vocabulary and got better each day. I ended up by week 2 speaking 85% Spanish. I leave in 4 days for my 1st Camino. I had dinner last night with 3 recent returnees who said Pilgrim's Meals were horrible. If I am hungry enough, i am sure road kill will taste like a gourmet meal.
