Camino Ingles from Ferrol. A good 5 day walk. Some parts will be a challenge. You will experience the "camino feeling" The walk, eat and sleep and then do it all over again. And great albergues in small towns.
Buen camino!
We have had the most beautiful Spring weather, warm temperatures and no rain. It inspired to a wildcamping trip to Odsherred only 50 km. from Copenhagen
Nature showed itself at its best with flowering anemones and balmy evenings. Still too cold to swim in the sea
I went for a walk in the woods and stumbled across this giant troll amongst the trees. In 2016, the artist Thomas Dambo made the popular 6 giant trolls "Forgotten Giants" from recycled wood, and they can be seen in the woods west of Copenhagen. I have heard about the trolls but not seen them and...
Spring is in the air! We have had sunny weather, cold but lovely. I went for a walk on nearby Stevns to see the cliffs of Stevns. The cliffs are 17 km long and up to 40 m in height and it is a pretty walk along the edge of the cliff.
Thank you! I really enjoyed reading your post. The pictures are great! I have not been on the Frances since 2005, I'll go back some day. I remember the Meseta, it was beautiful!
A rare thing happened in Denmark today - the sun was up and about from sunrise at 8.39 til sunset at 15.41. Yesterday we had a light snowfall and today in the sun it was so pretty.
Merry Christmas to all of you, I hope to met you all on the Camino some day.
From a weekend outing in the woods near Næstved on the Island Sealand in Denmark. Weather was fine and we did some great walks. And we cooked dinner over an open fire before retiring to the tent.
Since I'm not going to Spain this Summer, I decided to do a hike in Jutlandia, the Danish mainland.
On my very first day I started early in the morning and I walked out of a small village, where I had spend the night. It was a lovely morning, very quiet and everything was good when I was passed...
I went for a wild camp in the woods. On my way to the designated spot I saw a sign with the yellow arrow and the shell. It made me so happy, seeing the Camino symbols and I felt like dancing and jumping around and that is not easy with a 14 kg backpack!
The other picture is the view from the...
Packed my tent and other overnight gear and went camping for a few nights. It was lovely but very cold at night. I woke up in the middle of the night and went stargazing. Just beatifull! Next trip will be when Spring is here and we do not have minus degrees at night.
Maybe you are thinking of Flapjacks? They are very popular amongst hikers and walkers in Scotland and England. I have seen recipes for Flapjacks but not made them myself. I ate a lot of Flapjacks hiking in Scotland but I would buy them in supermarkets.
I'm glad you have returned to the Forum. Sometimes we need to steep away and then we can return with new energy.
Welcome back and all the best to you and your family.
We have had a cold spell in Denmark. For weeks it has been minus degrees but sunny. Which is great when all you can do is walk due to the Corona restrictions.
Today I walked to one of the harbors in Copenhagen. I wanted to see the sun twinkling in the sea but that did not happen. The seawater...
It has been a challenging nine months!
I have always wanted to learn Spanish so with the lockdown being a reality in March, I decided it was time! I signed up with a free language course app, dusted off my Spanish grammar books and rolled my sleeves up. Today I have 297 consecutive days spend...
